Hello I am Jasper Thayer
producer, creator, writer, cameraman,
video editor, director and webmaster of TheShow.
I started producing TheShow in 2003 when my buddy's girlfriend broke up with him. They only went out for 6 months and after the breakup happened he would not stop talking about her and tolerating his depression for a few days led me to the idea of documenting his torment so that he could see first-hand how ridiculous the situation was.
Along the way I started filming everyone we came in contact with and eventually characters were established. At first I started going to the cable access studio to edit the content but it was a hassle going there during their limited operation hours and working on their equipment so I bought an iMac G5 so I could edit at home.
Throughout the years I have upgraded all of my video production equipment and because of my editing experience I was able to challenge the exams to become an Apple Certified Professional video editor and DVD author.
I started designing TheWebsiteForTheShow in early 2006 and since then I have updated the site substatially. There were many limitations with the web design software I was previously using so after a few months I ceased production on the site but now that I have upgraded to Adobe Web Design Premium CS3. For the first few months of getting the new software I worked on some other websites and now that I have had a chance to learn the software I am starting to work on TheWebsiteForTheShow a little bit more here and there.
I hope you like the site it is designed and developed using the most advanced and up-to-date technologies and it is completely produced from scratch using no templates!
